Motivation for The Major

This picture is to help motivate The Major to truly believe that he CAN do it!

New Walking Partner

I was joined at 5 am today by a new walking partner, Hannah, my 9 year old daughter (soon to be 10). I guess that having a new partner and all of the responsibility associated with taking her with me blinded my thoughts from realizing that I walked out the door without a house key.

We walked for 1.5 miles attempting to give my wife enough time before we began calling to wake her up and unlock the front door. That was not enough time, since she did not wake up at the sound of the phone ringing (really good ear plugs). After a few calls, we decided to giver her more time and go for another mile. After 2.5 miles, we were ready to get back inside. A few calls, some rocks thrown at the bedroom window, and eventually knocking on the window with a 6 foot 2 x 4 and we were back inside.

We definitely had a memorable experience walking, talking, dodging the early morning commuters who think everyone is in bed, and praying for our neighbors.
